Pair charged after Navy break-in
Devonport
Devonport has stepped up its security
Two people have been charged by police after allegedly attempting to break into a Royal Navy base in Devon.

It follows an incident at around midnight on Monday at Devonport Dockyard, in Plymouth.

Sue Brackenbury, 27, from Ayrshire, and Matt Bury, 48, from Taunton, were arrested after scaling a perimeter wall at the base, police said.

They will appear before magistrates in Plymouth on Tuesday, charged with intent to cause criminal damage.

The Ministry of Defence said a full investigation into the incident has been launched.
