Image issued in sex attacker hunt

The man police want to question has a skinhead haircut

Police have issued a computer-generated image of a man they are hunting over a serious sexual assault on a 15-year-old schoolgirl.

The girl was attacked last Thursday lunchtime on a grassy footpath alongside Applemoor Sports Centre, in Hythe, Hampshire.

A man grabbed her from behind, forced her to the ground and subjected her to a serious sexual assault.

The shocked girl then managed to make her way to a nearby supermarket, where she alerted a member of the public who contacted the police.

Her attacker is described as white, in his early 20s, with a dark skinhead haircut and glasses.

He wore a red tracksuit top and black baggy trousers.

Hampshire police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the attack.
