Couple due in court
Sharon Richards and Steven Hayward
The couple were escorted back from Spain
A Shropshire couple, accused of abducting their four children from the care of social services, are back in Britain after being extradited from Spain.

Sharon Richards and Steven Hayward arrived at Birmingham Airport on Wednesday afternoon, after detectives from West Mercia Police escorted them on a flight from Spain.

The couple, from Bridgeford Way, in Shrewsbury, will be held overnight at Shrewsbury Police station and are due to appear before the town's magistrates court on Thursday.

They are expected to face charges in connection with the abduction of their four children aged between three and 12, who were allegedly taken from social workers during a supervised visit at Wem in February.

The children were brought back to Britain from Spain after being found at a caravan site.

They are now back in the care of social services.
