Teenager detained for stabbing
A Telford teenager has been sent to a young offenders' institution for three-and-a-half years for his part in the stabbing of a Madeley man.

The 42-year-old victim needed hospital treatment after he was stabbed in the back in Hills Lane Drive in March.

A woman he was with suffered a head injury.

John Walsh, 18, from Woodside, was sentenced at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday.

He admitted wounding with intent at an earlier hearing.

Three other teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted charges of violent disorder.

Two 15-year-olds were given eight month detention training orders.

A 16-year-old will be sentenced at a later date.
