A doctor has been charged with seven counts of forgery over allegations he falsified children's blood tests.
Hertfordshire Police have confirmed Dr David Pugh, 54, has been charged over claims surrounding measles, mumps and rubella vaccinations and falsified medical documents.
Dr Pugh ran Lifeline Care Limited at Elstree Aeromedical Centre in Hertfordshire offering youngsters separate vaccines for measles, mumps and rubella.
Hundreds of children attended the private clinic for the single dose vaccines as an alternative to the controversial
three-in-one MMR injection.
They were also offered blood tests after concerns the vaccines were not working properly.
Blood test documents
A Hertfordshire Police spokeswoman said: "An investigation was launched after a number of parents contacted police believing they had been sent falsified laboratory result reports.
"The documents relate to laboratory results of blood tests regarding the success of children's single vaccine MMR immunisations.
"The vaccines had been administered at the private clinic, Elstree Aeromedical Centre, near Borehamwood."
Dr Pugh was one of the few people to offer the single vaccines and has innoculated hundreds of children at his private Lifeline Care clinic at Elstree.
He also ran a clinic at Hillsborough Leisure Centre in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
Dr Pugh, of Bradmore Green, Brookmans Park, Hatfield, has been bailed to attend Central Hertfordshire Magistrates Court on 8 August.
Parents concerned about their child's single vaccine immunisation results should contact their GP.
