Ask the minister about pensions
Malcolm Wicks MP
Malcolm Wicks MP will answer some of your questions

Many people are worried about whether they will have enough money to live on when they retire.

The government wants people to work for longer and put more of their own money into private pension schemes, but confidence in pensions is at an all-time low.

In December the government published its blueprint for pensions reform, but do the plans go far enough, and is it doing enough to tackle the looming crisis?

Malcolm Wicks is the recently appointed pensions minister.

Mr Wicks has a background in social policy and the benefits system. He was the director of the Family Policy Studies centre from 1983 to 1992.

What does he think about the pensions crisis, and how is he dealing with the problems and concerns surrounding pension provision in the UK?

Is the government doing enough for existing pensioners?

If you are worried about your pension, here is your chance to put your questions to Mr Wicks in an e-mail forum, using the postform below.

The first part of answers will be published on Monday 18 August 2003.
