Two men have been arrested after a man was attacked with a broken bottle outside a Bristol pub.
The victim will require plastic surgery and could lose the use of his finger after the assault near the Bell pub in East Street, Bedminster.
On 31 July, the man was seriously assaulted by three men at around 2300 BST when he tried to intervene in a fight between two woman.
He received a cut to his head which required eight stitches at Frenchay Hospital, and the little finger on his right hand was partially severed.
The two men arrested in connection with this attack have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
