Man dies after flat blast
A 29-year-old man has died in hospital after a gas explosion at his flat in Greater Manchester.

Adrian Holmes was rescued by fire officers following the explosion and fire at his home in Great Norbury Street, Hyde, in the early hours of Monday morning.

He was taken to Tameside General Hospital suffering severe burns.

He was later transferred to Wythenshawe Hospital, where he died.

The Fire Service is continuing its investigations into the cause of the explosion.

There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
