Arson attack at restaurant
An Indian restaurant in Bridlington has been damaged in an arson attack.

Police and firefighters were called to the Bridlington Tandoori in St John Road at 0407 BST on Wednesday.

They say extensive damage has been caused to the premises and a flammable liquid seems to have been used to start the fire.

A man who was sleeping in a flat above the restaurant escaped without injury.

Humberside Police are also investigating an incident in Hull on Saturday 2 August when two petrol bombs were thrown at a cafe in Middleton Street used by Kurdish people.
