Welcome to our new market data pages - with a new look and more data than ever before.
We have re-organised our market pages to make it easier for you to find the data you want.
For starters, our market database is now searchable: just type the name of an index or share into the market search box on any market page and click "go".
Charting the ups and downs
At the top of every page you will find links to our six new market centres - stock market indexes, share prices, currencies, commodities, gilts and bonds, and earnings reports of UK companies.
For context we have added historical charts (intra-day, one month, three months, one year) to most of our data sets - to allow you to track the ups and downs of the market place.
And on each page you will find links to the data you are interested in. Just click on the name of a stock market, company, currency or commodity and we will take you to a page with price chart for this data set and any extra information we have.
Links to our market reports (for London, Europe, Tokyo and Wall Street), and a breakdown of London's top shares by sector can now be found on the Overview page and the share price pages.
More data, more updates
We also cover more financial instruments than ever before: more currencies, more stock indexes, and share prices from the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq, Deutsche Boerse Frankfurt and Euronext Paris.
All data from the London Stock Exchange are updated more frequently, and world commodity prices for cotton, coffee, cocoa and sugar at the New York Board of Trade complement our gold index and the metal prices from the London Metal Exchange.
We hope you enjoy our new design, but let us know if you have trouble finding the data you want, or if you come across any broken links or questionable data.
We plan to roll out additional functionalities and data as we develop our market data pages, but your suggestions will always be welcome.
