Knife raiders threaten pub staff
Armed raiders threatened staff before making off with jewellery and cash from an Essex pub.

Just after midnight on Monday morning, robbers entered the Lion Pub in Mersea Road, Langenhoe, near Colchester.

They threatened the occupants with knives, forcing them to hand over £10,000 in cash and jewellery worth £30,000 from the safe.

No-one was hurt in the raid.

Two teenagers, aged 16 and 19, and 22-year-old man have been arrested by Essex Police.

They are being questioned at Colchester Police Station on suspicion of robbery.
