Man charged with burns murder
A 46-year-old man is due in court charged with murder after a woman died from severe burns following an attack at her home.

Jennifer Black, 56, from Ely, Cambridgeshire, was badly burned in the incident early on Wednesday 30 July, a Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said.

She was initially taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge but later transferred to Nottingham City Hospital, which has a specialist burns unit.

She died there on Tuesday.

Colin Bell, from Downham Road, Ely, is appearing at Norwich Crown Court on Friday.
