A teenager has been charged with the rape of an 11-year-old boy in a
graveyard.
The youngster was in the cemetery in Chaddesden, Derby, when he was subjected
to a serious sexual assault in broad daylight.
An 18-year-old man was due to appear before Derby magistrates on Wednesday morning in
connection with the alleged incident, a police spokeswoman said.
The young boy, from Derby, was attacked in the Nottingham Road cemetery at about 1800 BST on Monday.
The teenager was arrested on Monday night and was being held at St Mary's
Wharf police station, where he was charged by police on Tuesday.
