Men sought in two attacks
Herts Police headquarters, Stevenage
Anyone with information about the attacks is asked to ring police
Hertfordshire Police are searching for two men who carried out attacks on women in Royston at the weekend.

Despite the attacks taking place just yards from each other, Detectives do not believe they are related.

The first attack took place just after 0001 BST on Sunday in Green Street, when a woman in her early twenties was pushed to the ground and had her handbag stolen.

The thief was white, 5 ft 7 in tall and in his twenties, with mousey-coloured hair and wearing a white shirt with red horizontal and vertical stripes.

The second attack took place a short time later in Garden Walk when a 32-year-old was attacked from behind.

Police said she was forced to the ground and indecently assaulted.

This man was white, in his twenties, 5 ft 8 in tall and of slim athletic build.

He was wearing a black hooded jumper with a white celtic design on the front of both sleeves from the shoulders to the cuffs.

In both cases, the attackers ran off towards Melbourne Road.
