One man hurt in city fire
Cambridge fire
Crews managed to stop flames spreading to the Folk Museum
One person has been taken to hospital with burns after a fire in Cambridge city centre.

Fire crews battled to stop the fire spreading to the city's Folk Museum in Kettles Yard on Monday morning.

The flames broke out in a four-storey building containing a post office, a Chinese restaurant and two floors of accommodation in Castle Street.

One man who tried to escape by jumping from a top floor window before firefighters arrived has been taken to hospital with burns.

Fire crews have managed to contain the blaze, but have warned drivers that the junction between Chesterton Lane and Castle Street will be closed during the morning.
