Man dies on cliffs
Rescue helicopter
The helicopter crew had intended to airlift the man to hospital
A man has died on cliffs on Cornwall's north Coast.

Police say they are not treating the death of the 70-year-old local man on Tuesday night as suspicious.

Coastguard teams, a rescue helicopter from RNAS Culdrose and a cliff rescue team were all called to North Cliffs near Camborne by an ambulance crew just before 2100 BST.

Paramedics treated the man, from the Camborne area, who had collapsed on the cliff above Fisherman's Cove.

Coroner informed

The helicopter crew had intended to airlift him to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske for treatment, but he was pronounced dead at the scene by the naval doctor on board.

The man's family has been traced, and the coroner has also been informed.
