Leslie to give first TV interview
John Leslie
Leslie was sacked from This Morning
TV presenter John Leslie is to give his first TV interview since allegations of sexual assault against him were dropped.

Leslie, who was sacked from presenting ITV1's This Morning, will be interviewed on Channel 4's Richard and Judy show on Friday.

It precedes Leslie's TV documentary about his "year of hell", which will be shown on Sky One on Sunday.

The documentary shows video diary footage of Leslie taken during the police investigations into sex offences.

"John Leslie is to give his first interview with Richard and Judy on their live Channel 4 tea-time show," a spokesman said.

"This is in advance of his own video diary documentary which is being aired on Sky One next Sunday."

Drug accusations

Leslie faced charges of attacking a woman earlier this year, but these were dropped before trial, "leaving him without a stain on his character", the judge said.

My Year of Hell gives Leslie's side of the story, including his feelings towards those who made allegations.

Leslie was dropped from ITV1's This Morning for failing to answer questions about his private life, including accusations of drug taking.

As he was cleared of all charges against him, he made an emotional statement that he had been "taken to hell and back" and vowed to resurrect his career.

The Sky show includes interviews with girlfriend Abi Titmuss, close friends and family, as well as his legal team.

Leslie's "year in hell" began when he was sacked from his high-profile job following allegations in the press arising from TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson's autobiography - although she herself had not named him.

Another woman then made allegations against him to the police and he was charged, but later cleared.
