Attacker 'posed as paramedic'
A man has gone on trial accused of indecently assaulting a woman while pretending to be a paramedic.

Gary Brooks, 30, from Loughborough in Leicestershire, has denied the charge against him.

A jury at Leicester Crown Court heard on 14 March this year a woman had been out drinking with friends at the Barracuda Bar in Loughborough.

The court heard the woman was drunk and went outside to sit on the kerb.

Padded jacket

The prosecution alleges Gary Brooks had been inside the same bar, saw the woman and tried to pass himself off as a paramedic.

It is alleged he turned his black padded jacket inside out so it became a fluorescent jacket with "Emergency Medical Technician" written on the back.

He then indecently assaulted the woman, the prosecution claims.

The case continues.
