Man dies in car crash

A man has died after his car was involved in a crash with three other vehicles in Merseyside.

The collision happened at about 0025 BST on Sunday in Southport.

The man was driving a silver Nissan Sunny along the Coastal Road, between Shore Road and Weld Road, when it collided with the other two cars.

The 24-year-old man from Southport died as a result of his injuries.

Up to five people were also injured in the crash.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
