Rural bus service launched
Better public transport is being promised for people living in villages near Caistor and Market Rasen.

There are plans to run more buses through the area.

Lincolnshire County Council is to set up the services called Interconnect after securing government funding in 2002.

The plans include extending the rural bus scheme to the villages between Lincoln and Grimsby.

The investment will mean new vehicles, a single ticketing system and extra timetables.

There will also be cycle bars at some of the stops.

Lincolnshire County Council says it is delighted to offer the rural scheme but that passengers need to use the services otherwise they will be withdrawn.
