Body may be missing swimmer
A lifeboat
The body was found 18 miles off the Norfolk coast
Police searching for a woman who went missing while swimming in the sea off Kent have found a body near the Norfolk coast.

However, Kent Police have not yet confirmed whether the body is that of missing Lita Connor, from London.

She has not been seen since she went swimming with a friend at Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey on 21 July.

Ms Conner, who is thought to have at least two children, was holidaying at Sheppey Beach Villas before she disappeared.

A search by coastguard and lifeboat crews, as well as volunteers who scoured Kent beaches from the Isle of Sheppey to Herne Bay, found no trace of her.

The body was recovered 18 miles off the coast of Norfolk.

A post-mortem examination has been described as "inconclusive".
