Managers at Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Royal Hospital say they have had a record-breaking year, with more patients treated.
The hospital trust is due to consider its annual report next week.
It will reveal the number of times patients were treated is up 9% and the number of staff has increased by 8%.
The chief executive Eric Morton described the last year as the hospital's most successful ever.
He said as well as the increase in patient numbers they had invested hundreds of thousands of pounds in new equipment and were starting work on a £6m expansion.
