A 17-year-old youth has been remanded in custody charged with membership of the dissident republican Real IRA.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was also charged with having material which could be of use to terrorists.
He is accused of having a gun or an imitation gun.
A police officer told a special sitting of Omagh Magistrates Court on Saturday that the accused made no reply when charged.
The youth was remanded in custody until 7 October.
