Police have released video footage of an armed robber who has raided 13 betting shops in the past two years.

The man, who was captured on CCTV at a William Hill shop in Yiewsley, Middlesex, has stolen £16,000 in total.

The footage can be viewed in the "most wanted" section of the Metropolitan Police website.

Detectives say the robber poses as a customer before threatening staff with a firearm concealed in a plastic bag.

The raids have taken place across west London and Hertfordshire.

The suspect is described as white, in his late 40s to early 50s, between 5 ft 7 in and 5 ft 10 in tall, bald with a little grey hair around the temples.

He often wears a baseball cap and sunglasses with very dark lenses.
