Alisha's father Jason Smart is estranged from her mother

A man who went missing with his two-year-old daughter has been arrested by police.

Jason Smart, 32, of Kingswood, disappeared with his daughter Alisha Houghton from her home in Warmley on 29 July.

Alisha's mother, Georgina, has custody of the toddler and is estranged from the father.

He was arrested on Tuesday evening at Ms Houghton's home, and was taken to Staple Hill police station for questioning.

He has not been charged at this stage.
