Elderly man assaulted
Paramedics have been called to the home of a 90-year-old man in Northampton after he was assaulted and robbed.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said the incident happened at about 1400 BST on Friday at a house in Derby Road.

The elderly man opened his door to a young man in his late teens or early 20s, who then forced his way in and demanded money.

After assaulting the man, the attacker took some money and headed in the direction of the Kettering Road.

The robber is described as between 5 ft 5 in and 5 ft 10 in tall, of slim build with dark blonde or brown hair which was combed back.

He was smartly dressed in a dark coloured suit and tie.

Police are linking this with similar incidents in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Northamptonshire Police.
