Potato lorry crashes into house
A lorry has jack-knifed and smashed into a house and a telegraph pole in Shropshire.

A clean up operation is underway after the lorry spilt its 20 tonne load of potatoes across the A49 at Leebotwood just before 0400 BST on Saturday.

West Mercia Police said the lorry knocked down part of the house at the side of the A49 at Leebotwood.

The lorry just missed an ambulance.

A police spokesman said the lorry driver was trapped for a short while and suffered minor ankle injuries.

No one else was injured in the smash.

The road has been closed, diversions have been put in place and motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
