Murder victim photo released
Stephen Henry
Stephen Henry was shot three times
A photograph of Bristol murder victim Stephen Henry has been released by police in the hope that it will jog someone's memory.

Mr Henry, 32, left the Level nightclub with friends at 0230 BST on 14 September and was shot dead as he was getting into a yellow car, parked in Woodland Road.

Mr Henry died as a result of three gunshot wounds, believed to have been fired from a .38 revolver. The gun has still not been found.

Police investigating the crime set up a mobile station on Saturday night near to the site of the shooting, and questioned passers-by, nightclubbers and taxi drivers.

Earlier this week, officers issued an e-fit of a man they believe to be the gunman.

The offender is described as a black man, mid-20s, 5 ft 7 ins tall, of average build, with a short moustache, squared off at the ends.

He was wearing dark clothing, and either a hood or a baseball cap.

Detective Superintendent Paul James, who is leading the investigation, said: "We are still anxious to hear from anyone who recognises the e-fit of the gunman who has a distinctive short moustache.

"We hope that by setting up a mobile police station in the area, we may find vital witnesses who were here a week ago and may have seen something important.

"In many cases of this type, witnesses do not always realise what they have seen."

The photo was released with the consent of Mr Henry's family.
