Mystery over man's injuries
Royal Free Hospital
Mr Conner was transferred to the Royal Free Hospital in London
Police in Hertfordshire are trying to find out how a man from Hatfield sustained serious head injuries.

Marc Conner from Queensway House in the town was taken to the QE2 Hospital in Welwyn Garden City on Saturday.

The 28-year-old was then transferred to the Royal Free Hospital in London suffering from a fractured skull and bleeding in the brain.

He is said to be in a very serious condition.

Detectives say they believe Mr Conner may have been injured several days before he was admitted, but cannot say exactly what happened to him.

An attack on Mr Conner has not been ruled out.

Police want anyone with any information to come forward.
