Teenager dies in the street

Police are investigating after the death of a teenager in a Devon street on Friday night.

The 19-year-old man from Axminster died after collapsing in the street in Seaton.

Despite attempts to resuscitate him he never regained consciousness.

He died in the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

He had been walking with friends when he collapsed.

Police are treating the death as suspicious and sealed off the scene at Malpits Lane.

A forensic post-mortem is expected to take place on Saturday morning.
