More than 70 elderly people have been led from a geriatric hospital in West Bromwich after a fire broke out in the grounds.
The fire has affected outbuildings and a sub station in the grounds of Edward Street Hospital.
More than 20 firefighters have been called to deal with the severe fire, which started at 1915 BST on Monday.
Alan Rotchell, from West Midlands Fire Service, said no one is believed to have been injured in the fire.
"The fire has affected a diesel store and a high voltage transformer," he said.
"Firefighters managed to stop the fire spreading to the hospital but it has resulted in a complete loss of power at the hospital.
"Between 70 and 80 people have been evacuated from the hospital and are in the process of being transferred to nearby hospitals."
