Police authority members serve for three years
The independent group which investigates complaints against the police in Jersey is looking for new members.

The Jersey Police Complaints Authority monitors the States and honorary forces.

The complaints authority has between four and six members and a chairman.

It is hoping to appoint members from next January.

The authority supervises the investigation of any complaints about the island's police and members serve for three years.

However, some people cannot become members of the authority.

Anyone who has been a member of the States, the honorary force or a Jurat is excluded.
