Teenage boy dies after motorbike crash
A 14-year-old boy has died after the motorbike he and a 10-year-old boy were riding hit a tree in Coventry.

It happened at about 1400 BST on Pridmore Road near to the junction with Guild Road in the Foleshill area of the city.

The 10-year-old boy is being treated in hospital for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

West Midlands Police said a full investigation was underway.

A spokesman said the two boys were riding an off-road scrambler type bike that hit a tree.

The boys, who are from Coventry, were taken to hospital but the teenage boy was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police have described it as a tragic accident and are appealing for witnesses.
