Body in woods is missing man
A body found in a Hampshire forest is a man who has been missing from his home for just over a fortnight, police have revealed.

Andrew Mark Van Golen was last seen at 1100 BST on Thursday, 4, September, when he left the home he shares with his parents in South Hurst in Whitehill.

Mr Van Golen left the house in his red and white Rover, later found parked on the edge of Woolmer Forest/Longmore Ranges.

Detectives, who had earlier described his disappearance as "out of character", confirmed on Thursday the body found two days ago in Woolmer Forest at Passfield is the missing 34-year-old.

The discovery follows a major search conducted by Hampshire Police Marine Unit, the dog section, 25 police officers and 60 soldiers from the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at Bordon.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.
