Council chief leaves for top post
David Marlow
David Marlow is leaving Doncaster Council
The Chief Executive of Doncaster Council is leaving his job to take up a new role with a regional development agency.

David Marlow has been the most senior officer at Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council for the past two-and-a-half years.

But in October he will take up the post of Chief Executive at the East of England Development Agency, one of only nine such roles in the country.

The elected Mayor of Doncaster Martin Winter said: "David has played an integral role in Doncaster's resurgence over the past two-and-a-half years."

Mr Marlow said: "Being the Chief Executive of Doncaster Council has fulfilled a personal ambition of mine to be not only a local authority chief executive, but to be the chief executive of a leading borough."
