Two injured as vans crash
The crash
The crash shut part of Wood Lane
Two people were injured in a crash at a busy road junction in west London on Friday.

Part of Wood Lane was shut after two vans collided at the junction with the A40 at around 1300 BST.

One van smashed into the barriers by the traffic lights in the middle of the junction.

But the driver's airbag inflated and they escaped serious injury.

Police at the scene said one of the victims had "potentially serious" injuries while the other was described as "walking wounded".

Both were taken to Charing Cross Hospital.

Traffic built up around the Shepherd's Bush area as Wood Lane was shut underneath the Westway flyover.
