Pool campaigners need £250,000
Campaigners fighting for a new swimming pool to be built in Herefordshire have been asked to raise £250,000.

The pool, in Leominster, was closed last year for health and safety reasons.

A new one will be built next to the town's leisure centre, with Herefordshire Council paying £2.25m towards it.

But the action group has been asked to raise the rest of the money in the community.

Roger Hunt is leading the campaign for the new pool and says he thinks they will raise the money.

"We've just got to keep emphasising the fact that if we don't get this money we don't get the size of pool we need," he says.
