Arrest after sexual assault

Police are investigating an allegation of serious sexual assault in Lincoln.

A couple were walking along Bank Street at 0200 BST on Saturday, when they came across a distressed 19-year-old local woman.

The police were called and the teenager told them she had been attacked in Saltergate.

A 17-year-old man has been arrested and is being held at Lincoln police station.

Officers have been given extra time to question him.
