Centre sees numbers double
Young people generic
The centre provides sexual health advice to young people
The number of young people looking for help from one of Jersey's family planning centres has more than doubled since it moved premises.

Jersey's Brook Advisory Clinic moved from Devonshire Place to Nelson Place.

And Brook's project facilitator, Jane Fitzsimmons, says the increase is due in part to their move.

But she says it is also linked to better self-promotion.

Free and confidential

"Since we moved the numbers of people coming in has doubled," said Ms Fitzsimmons.

"We promote ourselves well so people are hearing of us and coming in."

Brook Advisory Centres - commonly known just as Brook - is the only national voluntary sector provider of free and confidential sexual health advice and services specifically for young people under 25.
