Soham murder trial postponed
Ian Huntley
Huntley denies murder
The trial of the man accused of the murder of Soham schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman has been postponed until 3 November.

The trial of Ian Huntley was originally due to begin on 6 October and the decision was made after legal argument at the Old Bailey in London.

No reasons for the delay can be reported by order of the trial judge, Mr Justice Moses.

Mr Huntley, of Soham, Cambridgeshire, has denied murdering the two 10-year-olds, but has admitted conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

Maxine Carr, also of Soham, has pleaded not guilty to two offences of helping an offender and a charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

The two schoolgirls went missing on 4 August after being seen walking near their homes in Soham.

Their bodies were found two weeks later in a ditch near Lakenheath, Suffolk.
