Samantha Jane Dickens, 24, was discovered with stab wounds in Allenton in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Samantha, who sometimes used the name of Stella, had lived in the City for three years.

Police said that after initially struggling to identify the woman, distinctive tattoos gave them vital clues .

A 36-year-old man from the city is still being questioned after the discovery at Brindley Court off Wilkins Drive in the Allenton area at 0130 BST on Sunday.
