Spending cuts 'will achieve real change'
States members have been told plans to cut spending and reduce waste by Jersey's government will achieve real change.

The States has agreed to the Resource Plan which sets out how taxpayers' money will be spent over the next five years.

Cuts are being made in services and major projects and Policy and Resources says everyone involved in the government, from politicians to employees, will have to help achieve savings.

States finances are in deficit and the Resource Plan is one way of reducing it.

Policy and Resources vice-president, Senator Terry Le Sueur, said by working together, real savings could be made.
