Car smashes into pub roof
A man and a woman have been seriously injured after their car skidded off a road, hit the roof of a pub and landed upside down in the car park.

The black Mini Cooper was travelling west on the A31 towards Bournemouth at about 0100 BST on Friday when it left the road near the Ringwood bypass.

After hitting the Fish Inn pub, the car overturned and came to rest on its roof in the car park.

The driver, a 23-year-old local woman had to be cut free from the car.

She suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to Poole General hospital where she had emergency surgery.

She is now in a serious but stable condition.

The passenger, a 25-year-old Bournemouth man, suffered head and leg injuries and was taken to the same hospital.

The road was closed for several hours while the scene was examined, reopening at 0445 BST.
