A man is critically ill in hospital after being rescued from a fire at his flat in Greater Manchester.
Fire crews were called to Great Norbury Street in Hyde at about 0345 BST on Monday.
The 28-year-old was rescued from the flat by firefighters and was taken to Tameside General Hospital.
He was later transferred to Wythenshawe Hospital where he is being treated for severe burns.
Greater Manchester Fire Service say the fire may have been caused by a gas explosion when a gas appliance was left on.
An investigation is under way, but the cause is not being treated as suspicious.
