Hotel death suspect gives himself up

The woman's body was found by staff at the hotel.
A man has been arrested after a woman's body was found in a hotel room in Oxford.

The man walked into a police station in Kent and gave himself up on Sunday afternoon.

The 26-year-old was then arrested on suspicion of attempted murder by Thames Valley Police.

The woman's body was found by staff at the Travel Lodge, Peartree, just after 1300 BST on Sunday.

Detectives said it is unclear at present how she died.

A post mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death was due to take place on Sunday evening.

Detectives and scenes of crimes have been carrying out forensic tests at the scene.
