Street death man is named
A man who died after being found lying in a city street has been named by police.

Robert Sturdy, aged 40, was discovered lying in Lynmouth Road in the Henley Green area of Coventry on Friday evening.

A woman arrested in connection with the death of Mr Sturdy continues to be questioned by police.

Officers found him unconscious in the street suffering from serious head injuries.

Mr Sturdy was taken to Walsgrave Hospital where he died at about 0800 BST on Saturday, a West Midlands Police spokesman said.

"Police are pursuing active lines of inquiry in or near the Lynmouth Road area," he said.

He said anyone with further information on the incident should call Coventry CID.
