Police are appealing for witnesses

Enquiries are continuing after a man was arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found in Derby.

The 31-year-old man from the city is in custody after the discovery at Brindley Court off Wilkins Drive in the Allenton area at 0130 BST on Sunday.

A home office pathologist has carried out a post mortem examination but the results have not been released.

So far the dead woman has not been identified.

Police are continuing with house to house enquiries.

They are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the last two weeks to get in touch.
