Thousands of airport workers in India are taking part in action to disrupt flights in a protest against government plans to privatise the country's two biggest airports, trade union officials say.
Many staff - who fear job losses - are to take a day's co-ordinated casual leave on Friday next week.
Workers are also taking part in a series of day-long fasts at airports around the country, beginning today, to highlight their opposition.
The government wants to sell most of its stake in the airports for Delhi and Bombay - it says it wants airport facilities upgraded and made more attractive to international airlines.
