Heroin seized in house raid

Police in Northamptonshire have seized heroin worth £6,000 in a raid on a house in Kettering.

When detectives raided the house in Havelock Street, officers seized two ounces of heroin and £2,000 in cash, a Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said.

A 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, both from Kettering, were arrested. Both have been charged with drugs offences.

The man has been returned to prison after breaching his release licence. The woman has been remanded on bail.

She is due to appear at Corby magistrates on 25 September.
