The council is working to find more homes

Families living in temporary accommodation and people who are homeless are being offered help by Gedling Borough Council.
In 2002 nearly 180 children in the borough were left without a home.
Each borough in Nottinghamshire has a duty to provide housing to those who are either living in temporary accommodation, staying with friends or relatives or unable to have their belongings in the same place they sleep.
The high cost of rents and the increase in home ownership in the Gedling area has meant less affordable rooms for people to rent.
Officials are now working with other agencies to create more privately rented accommodation and to prevent the numbers of homeless people rising.
